Awful things I witnessed on TV tonight....

*"The Chamber", Fox's new game show. This has got to be the stupidest thing I ever saw. The contestant sits in this chair strapped in - you guessed it - a chamber, and as they go through the rounds the conditions get increasingly worse. That means the temperature keeps dropping, the amount of vibration increases....etc. Basically things get worse and worse until you either get too many wrong or quit. I'm amazed its even safe. They showed this poor girl at negative temperatures in not much clothing, with ice on her head. Why would someone do this???

*The People's Choice Awards. Tell me something. Why are there music awards on this show? My reason for asking is this: I found out last week that the American Music Awards are based on album sales (which makes them even more of a sham, but thats not the point of this entry). The PCA are chosen by the people. What makes anyone think that there will be a difference? The reason albums have the most sales is because - gasp - people bought them the most. It stands to reason that in a poll they will vote for the same albums.

*A commercial for the Flex Your Power campaign here in CA. This one had a pregnant woman and her husband rushing out the door on the way to the hospital. But, oh wait, gotta remember to turn off the lights, we're conserving energy! Yeah, I really expect them to be worrying about that at such a time.

There is a show on ABC that is called the chair and consists of being strapped down to a chair then they add so called pressure. Like flames all around the chair go off and stuff. John MacEnroe, that tennis guy who lost it back in the 80s, hosts it. Looks awful. Thw show I mean.

I'm gonna give The Chair a chance, if I remember to watch it. If I forget, so be it. I have a feeling that I'll only watch it once and agree with you that it's stupid.

I actively avoided The Chamber.
