Its funny how 5 years ago "experts" were saying that you couldn't possibly be infected by a virus without running an attachment.

Thanks to Microsoft's shoddy program testing, they have been proven wrong.

The most recent big threat was Nimda (Admin spelled backwards), which uses an exploit in the MIME part of Outlook as well as hiding its attachment so all you had to do was preview the message to get infected. There is another one more recently that uses the same hole to infect.

The Kak worm from a couple years ago rode along on the signature, which was ANOTHER security hole in Outlook.
