What is the point of protecting certain species? "Endangered species" and all that stuff has suddenly started to annoy me. Simply for the fact that, if you actually think about it, there are probably hundreds, if not thousands, of species of animals/plants that we never saw and will never see. Why? Natural selection. So going out of our way to protect species that are on the verge of extinction is silly. Sure, one could argue that there has never been a force quite destructive as man, but I would say that once again the concept of "survival of the fittest" comes into play. If the yellow tree-hugging poisonous trout can't survive by adapting, then it deserves to go the road of the dodo. We shouldn't be trying to save it. This isn't Noah's freakin' Ark.
